Detailed itinerary for the 5 Days Uganda wildlife safari & Chimpanzee tracking tour
Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver guide who will brief on your 5 days Murchison and Kibale tour. Later, you will drive northwestwards to Murchison Falls National Park through Kampala-Luweero-Masindi route which is approximately 4-5 hours’ drive. You will have a stopover in Masindi for an enjoyable lunch and then proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Black and White Rhino tracking. After an incredible tracking, continue to Murchison falls national park through Kichumbanyobo park gate. After park entry fee payments drive to the top of the falls to witness Murchison Falls as it squeezes itself in a narrow gorge of about 7 meters before breaking off to about 43 meters.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
After enjoying your tasty cup of tea or coffee in the morning at your lodge, you will drive to the northern circuit of Murchison Falls National Park where game drives are conducted. On a game drive, expect to spot on a variety of wildlife species including antelopes, leopards, giraffes, lions, elephants, buffalos, birds to mention but a few. The adventurous game drive along the northern track will take you approximately 2-3 hours and after fascinating moments, drive back to the lodge to relax and enjoy lunch. After a delicious lunch break, you will head to the Nile River for an adventurous launch cruise to the bottom of the falls that usually starts at 2:00pm in the afternoon. This incredible boat cruise will reward you with interesting sights of hippos, crocodiles, water birds including kingfishers, bee-eaters and many others. The boat cruise lasts for about 2-3 hours while enjoying the great views and taking memorable photos of the amazing experience.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Start the day with early morning breakfast and later, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to Kibale National Park. However, you will first have last round of game drive to catch a glimpse at the early morning risers such as lions, leopards, hyenas and birds among others. Later, proceed to Kibale National Park for 7 hours’ drive in a good and comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle. While on your journey to Kibale, you will enjoy the jaw dropping sceneries, landscapes and also have lunch-preferably packed. Later in the day arrive and check in at your booked lodge and retire for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will be driven to Kanyanchu Visitor Center where you will join other visitors for briefing on the set dos and don’ts for chimpanzee tracking. Briefing usually begins at 7:00am and ends at 8:00am; you will embark on your primate adventure to have a face to face encounter with the chimpanzees. Along the way, you will come across other primates including black and white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys and a variety of bird species, colorful butterflies and many others. After, you will return to have lunch and in the afternoon transfer to Bigodi Wetland for guided nature walk for additional encounters with the L’Hoest monkeys, red colobus, vervet monkeys, baboons; bird s including the great blue Turacos among others.

Day 5: Return to Kampala
Have breakfast early in the morning at your lodge and after, you drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. While on your journey back to Kampala, you will also enjoy the beautiful sceneries of tea plantations with lunch enroute. Arriving later in the day and transferred to your hotel or to the Airport for flight connections.
